Halal certification is a voluntary process where a halal certification body (HCB) certifies that a company’s products or services can be lawfully consumed by Muslims. Besides food products, Halal certification can be obtained for packaging, cosmetics, vitamins and minerals, cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, toothpaste, mouthwash, and other products.
